The Medrano Project consists of a three-story house built on a 15m x 4m plot, where each floor was conceived as an independent living unit. The main objective was to maximize the available space, ensuring functionality, comfort, and spatial quality on each level.

On the ground floor, a practical and bright studio apartment was designed, integrating the living room, kitchen, and dining area into a single, continuous space. On the first floor, the larger area allowed for a two-room layout, achieving greater spaciousness and a clearer zoning between the social and private areas. Finally, the third floor houses a two-bedroom unit, one of which is located in an attic, adding character and uniqueness to the overall design.

The use of neutral materials and light tones was key to enhancing the feeling of spaciousness and natural light, preventing the small size of the plot from negatively impacting the spatial perception.

The main challenge of the project was to design three different configurations, each functional and aesthetic, that complied with the regulations for circulation, ventilation and natural lighting, without sacrificing a coherent and contemporary visual identity.
